Drawing on inclusivity

The IGS Primary After School Drawing Club created a beautiful display for Harmony Day.

In Term 1, IGS Teachers Jasmin Flyte and Sarah Elwasfi ran a Drawing Club for children in Years 1 to 4.

The children looked at different styles of drawing including:

· Fine line drawing

· Single line drawing

· Realistic drawing vs imaginative drawing

· Drawing from your own imagination vs using pictures and props

· Knowledge of different materials you can use and the effect they create.

“We collected the children’s drawings and at the end of the term we had them bound into their own art books,” Sarah said.

“The children learnt so much about different techniques and styles of drawings and of course we had a lot of fun. We look forward to holding this club again later in the year.”
