“This monologue was taken from Litras’ and Bolton’s adaption of Homer’s Odyssey.
“It tells a story about a person on a journey to find home. My monologue explored this same story and told my character’s life through it,” she said.
“I chose this piece as it felt incredibly real. The story told was very close to my family and it allowed me to perform it as not a performance but as a personal story. After performing for the final time at my HSC exam, I did not realise the connection I would build with my character. She was very special and close to me.
Bridget also highlighted that seeing her friends grow in the subject as well as studying The Laramie Project were standout key moments during her Year 12 experience.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed this course and would recommend it to every student at IGS,” Bridget said.
