Using Bronwyn Bancroft’s Colours of Australia as inspiration for beautiful writing, the students created artworks and wrote about colours and Australian landscapes.
“The artworks are part of an integrated unit,” said 3B teacher Nicole Demovic.
Meanwhile, students have been noting the behaviour of classmates, on the lookout for acts of kindness.
“The cups pictured on the wall are called ‘Kindness Cups,'” Ms Demovic said.
“The idea is that we catch students being ‘kind’ and filling each others ‘cups’ by doing kind and compassionate things for each other.
“We ask the class each recess and lunch and the students put pompoms in the cups of the students who did the kind deed.”
