Celebrating 37 years of IGS

IGS Head Boy Orlando Read, Head Girl Grace Truman and friends celebrated the School's 37th birthday by handing out apples.

Students also enjoyed chalk drawing their favourite things about IGS on the footpath. They shared that they loved their teachers, their community and their friends.

In Primary home classes and High School tutor groups, students had the opportunity to write what they are grateful for at IGS on post-it notes. These messages were displayed around the School.

“37 years ago Reg St Leon and a team of visionaries started holding lessons with a small group of children in a school they called IGS,” said Deputy Principal Mary Duma.

“The news about this new school spread quickly and the dream of having children who are able to converse and think in many languages, perform on the stage confidently and be musically adept became a reality for the committed team.”

Interest in the School continues to grow.
