“I hope you are all doing okay despite the changes you have had to adapt to,” Felix told fellow students via email.
“For many of you that will mean spending a lot more of your day at home than you normally would; and for some, perhaps, not knowing what to do. If you are feeling like this, an excellent way to relax and keep yourself occupied is with a good book!
“While you may not be able to borrow physical books from the Bibliothèque during lockdown, if you are looking for a new book to read, I would suggest looking at our online collection.
“With plenty of e-Books and audiobooks for both Primary School and High School I’m sure there’s something for everyone!
Principal’s Reading Challenge
“I would also like to remind everyone of the Principal’s Reading Challenge, an initiative that is still absolutely available to you all over lockdown.
“With a few simple reading-related activities, you can win prizes like ice-block vouchers and IGS themed bookmarks.
“If you can complete all of these activities, alongside a personal reading goal, you will even be presented with an award at the end of the year! For more information on it, please take a look at this article.
“Students may also email bibliotheque@igssyd.nsw.edu.au if they have questions.
“I hope these suggestions can provide you with some interest over this lockdown period!
“Finally, I thought I’d include a picture of my dog Lottie with her book. Family and/or pets can make great company over lockdown.”
