“The students had the idea to support the children’s hospital by organising a cake sale around Halloween,” said IGS Head of Junior School Colin Bird.
“Sadly, that could not be done in the current climate but the children still had a desire to do something to help.
“They landed on the idea of making and writing cards to the children, doctors, nurses and other staff there to wish them well towards the end of the year.”
Colin said he is looking forward to seeing what amazing community initiatives IGS students come up with next.
IGS congratulates Neko, Harper, Emily, Zara Rivera and Penelope on their initiative.
Their move follows IGS video thank you messages to healthcare workers earlier in the year.
