Art goes out into the world

Exemplary HSC artworks by three International Grammar School students have been selected for display in the NESA Visual Arts showcase ARTEXPRESS.

Exemplary HSC artworks by three International Grammar School students have been selected for display in the NESA Visual Arts showcase ARTEXPRESS.

Venus Lacoste’s Abstraction of Scale will be shown at Hazelhurst Regional Gallery & Arts Centre and in the Orange Regional Art Gallery.

“I am so grateful to have been chosen for ARTEXPRESS!” Venus said. “This is such an amazing opportunity for my work to be shown to the public.

“I really couldn’t have done it without the encouragement and support of my teacher.”

Harrison McTavish’s work, Father, Uncle, Son will be shown at the Art Gallery of NSW.

“To sum up how I’m feeling right now, absolutely astounded, beaming grin, just thrilled really,” Harry said.

Ruby Olsson’s work, Plimsoll, will be shown at Hazelhurst Regional Gallery & Arts Centre.

ARTEXPRESS will run from 26 January until 25 April 2018.

These students are among an impressive 14 young men and women from the IGS Class of 2017 whose HSC creative works were nominated for HSC showcase events and exhibitions.
