Advertising under Italian spotlight

This term, Year 5 students of Italian used their language skills to investigate advertising and the media.

Students covered a range of topics such as mass media, social media and how it influences their lives, and advertising analysis.

For their final task, students created television ads for an Italian food product using all the knowledge and language they had acquired throughout the term.

The project involved researching the existing advertising campaign for their Italian product, creating a storyboard, and writing a script.

In small groups, students decided on one of the ads to film. Before filming, students had to consider camera angles, props, setting, and character portrayals. 

Post-production involved the editing of the ads and presenting them to the class.

The students worked well in groups and were fully engrossed in the film production process.
