IGS Languages Teacher Britta Galfetti Neve said students baked and decorated typical German cookies, made Nelkenorangen that smelled heavenly, learnt a Christmas song and a traditional poem.
“The day was also filled with many speaking activities, from hangman to tic-tac-toe,” Britta said.
“Not to go hungry, all students enjoyed a breakfast with a traditional Swiss Hefezopf. The brave ones ate it with butter, jam and cheese – all together!
“The whole class also wrote their Christmas wishes for themselves, for IGS and for the world, on stars, creating a large poster for a Year 6 Christmas tree. Their wishes ranged from computer games to Frohe Weihnachten to health, happiness and world peace.”
