A breath of fresh air ahead of the HSC

As part of the annual IGS Year 12 farewell week, students have enjoyed a rewarding excursion to Taronga Zoo with Kindergarten, and a thrilling day at whitewater rafting.

Year 12 made fabulous memories exploring all that Taronga Zoo has to offer, nurturing connections with their Kindergarten buddies, and sharing their stories and journeys at IGS.

Events such as this provide Year 12 students with the opportunity to develop their leadership skills, and show care and consideration for some of the School’s youngest learners.

Many of the Year 12 students remember being accompanied by the Class of 2006 when they were in Kindergarten.

At Penrith Whitewater Stadium, students jumped into the rafts and out of their comfort zones, braving the cool weather and waves.

The excitement in their eyes and smiles as the teams made their way down the rapids confirmed their enjoyment, as did the Heads of House who joined in on the fun.
