Academic Achievements

NAPLAN 2016

Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 students participated in the National Assessment Program for Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN). IGS students scored well above the state average on all tests. Of particular note, Year 9 students scored favourably in comparison with NSW AIS schools on all test aspects of literacy, with scores for Writing being particularly high. Year 7 students scored well above NSW AIS schools on Numeracy test aspects and Year 3 students scored well above NSW AIS schools on all test aspects. Student growth was very pleasing on all test aspects for all Years 5, 7 and 9, with particular highlights in Year 5 Writing and Year 7 Numeracy and Writing.
