IGS campus

IGS campus in Ultimo

Our campus provides an inner-city Preschool, Primary School and High School near the Sydney CBD.

The main Reg St Leon Building (Kelly Street) was built in 1997 on the historical site of the Dalgety Wool Store in Kelly Street, Ultimo. The campus was custom-designed to provide for a Preschool to Year 12 education on one site.

The design enables some separation of Primary and High School but also allows students from across the age ranges to mix in a comfortable environment. There is a large rooftop play area and basketball court. Close-by Wentworth Park and Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre also provide sporting venues.

The Wright Building opened in 2000 and adjoins the main building. It houses primary school classes, counselling rooms, IT facilities, Drama space and a Peace Garden. A new Design Centre will open in 2017.

The Senior Annexe opened in 2005 in a converted warehouse building in  Mountain Street. The space provides a friendly, contemporary environment for senior students to study and sit their exams.

The Kerrie Murphy Building (KMB), adjacent to the Wright Building in Bay Street, opened in 2011 with the Federal Government's Building the Education Revolution program. The purpose-built facility holds a primary school library, languages program offices and an all-purpose hall. There is also a school gym fitted out with modern exercise equipment and a climbing wall.
To learn about this innovative building, read our KMB Flyer (pdf 2 MB).

In 2015, IGS acquired the property of 77-79 Bay Street for a senior art studio and administration and meeting spaces.
