Early Childhood Learning

The school recognizes that the early learning years are very important developmentally. Our program includes language and music lessons as well as time for play, as we firmly believe that the early learning experience should be fun, first and foremost. The wide variety of activities enjoyed each day by our younger children, contributes to their emotional, social, physical and cognitive development, while providing the essential building blocks for pre-reading, writing and numeracy.

Play is valuable and has many desirable educational outcomes. It is an essential part of our daily curriculum and program. It is through play that children can come to terms with real life events, and try to make sense of the world and their part within it. Through play, children learn how to be social and how their actions affect others; they develop language skills as they play and talk with others; they learn to solve their problems and control their bodies and explore what they are able to do in a safe, secure environment.

Our Staff

All teachers are trained Early Childhood Professionals with a wide variety of experience. Their love for children and their love for working with them is what sets our teachers and assistants apart.

Our Classes

We currently have four classes in preschool: two Preschool (3 year olds) and two Transition (4 year olds). There are 30 children per day in each group. Children attend for five, three or two days. Two-day placements are Monday/Tuesday and three-day placements are Wednesday/Thursday/Friday.

Preschool hours are from 9.00am to 3.00pm. Before-care is available from 7.30am onwards, and after-care until 6.00pm.
