Uniform pricelist

Uniform Policy

Students must follow conventional standards of appearance and
dress in accordance with what the school believes are the expectations of the
community.

Students should:

• Present themselves in a neat, tidy and clean state;
• Wear correctly all items of the uniform, including the correct school bag and black leather shoes;
• Wear a clean uniform that is in good order, and not ripped or damaged;
• Ensure that no undergarment is visible;  this includes coloured items that are visible through the uniform;
• Have no facial jewellery, no shaved hair or dreadlocks;
• Wear only small ear studs;
• Wear no jewellery during any physical activity;
• Show no bare ‘midriff’ skin.

To assist students in meeting these guidelines, Primary Heads of Department and High School Heads of House will, where necessary, provide replacement items of uniform from the uniform shop. These items will then be charged to the student’s account.

High School Full Uniform

Full Uniform is to be worn by all High School Students:

• On the first and on the final day of each term;
• At Speech Night;
• When receiving a school award or presenting an item at the School Assembly;
• On excursions other than where specified due to the nature of the event;
• When representing the School in the community.

Senior students should wear the full school uniform at all times.

Casual Uniform (summer only)

Students in Years 7-10 may choose to wear the casual uniform in summer except when the full uniform is required. Senior students should wear the full school uniform at all times.

PE Uniform

Students should only wear PE uniform on the days when they have practical PE lessons and/or if they are involved in Tuesday or Thursday Afternoon Sport.

IGS Athletics singlets are not part of the PE uniform

Primary students must wear a hat outside.  It can be either the IGS cap or IGS broad-brimmed hat.

Primary students must not wear items of the High School uniform, including the PE uniform.

All items of clothing must be clearly labelled.
