Information for Current Students
What to do if:
Your child is absent
Ring Reception on 9219 6700 prior to 8.30 to inform the School, or email reception@igssyd.nsw.edu.au. Your child must provide a letter signed by you on their return.
You wish to remove your child from school temporarily
A written request signed by one or both parents and addressed to the Principal is required. If the Principal approves this absence, a letter of confirmation will be sent.
You wish to remove your child from the school permanently
Two term's notice is required for students leaving from Transition and Year 6. All other withdrawls require one full term's notice otherwise IGS will retain the $800 fee deposit or 1/8 of the fees, whichever is the greater.
Please note:
Mid-term withdrawal will incur a full term's fees.
Fees unpaid by the due date will attract an interest charge determined with reference to the bank overdraft rate, and an administration cost. For 2009, this is $20 per week overdue.
Fees are payable for the whole year of enrolment – no deduction can be made because of non-attendance for any reason. Leave will not be granted on a no-fee basis.
Costs incurred in the collection of outstanding fees will be debited to the relevant student’s account.
You are changing your address details
Notification in writing with the signatures of both parents is required. A change of address notification form is available from Reception or please click here. Notification by email or by phone is not accepted.

Notification by email is acceptable when changing email or phone details only.
