International Grammar School is committed to the ongoing development of staff and generous provision is made in the area of professional development. The school also recognizes and encourages the pursuit of personal interests in developing staff and encourages initiatives aimed at the further development of staff.
IGS takes seriously its commitment to Child Protection and prohibited persons are ineligible to apply. In line with the NSW Child Protection (Prohibited Employment) Act 1998, it is an offence for a person convicted of a serious sex offence or a registrable offence to apply.
Relevant criminal history, relevant Apprehended Violence Orders and prior employment checks, including relevant employment proceedings, will be conducted on recommended applicants.
In its employment of all staff IGS seeks always to appoint staff based on their abilities, qualifications and expertise.
IGS takes seriously the confidentiality of all employment applications and we do not discuss your applications with other parties other than to determine your suitability for employment at the School.
IGS requires all teachers who have not taught in NSW prior to October 2004 to be accredited or provisionally accredited with the NSW Institute of Teachers.
