All staff at IGS work to enhance the learning of students within the School. Our teaching staff work alongside the administrative and support staff to provide an environment that promotes learning, understanding and tolerance.

There is a strong academic focus at the school that aims to instill in students a love of learning and to equip them with the requisite skills to be lifelong learners. Central to our approach is the building of positive relationships with all members of the school family and to develop knowledge of students, which facilitates a positive learning environment in which each student can grow and develop.

With Preschool to year 12 sharing the one campus, International Grammar School is uniquely placed to focus on the learning continuum in the lives of each of our students. This circumstance welcomes parents, staff and students into a family environment in which communication and cooperation is natural and warm. Consequently our students find they are given freedoms commensurate to their level of responsibility. In this environment students respond positively to this trust and this enables them to engage more fully in their learning and grow with increased levels of maturity and responsibility.
