Sharing knowledge in Japanese

Year 4 IGS students of Japanese who have been learning about Sydney and NSW recently had the opportunity to share their knowledge.

They welcomed two of the current visiting High School exchange students from Japan, introducing them to some famous sites in NSW.

Our students picked a place, wrote a script and practised with a partner before their special visitors arrived.

Then, speaking in Japanese, each pair confidently talked about their location, describing the area, the activities that you can do there and how best to get there.

Our students then enjoyed the opportunity to ask questions about the exchange students’ lifestyle and their home town of Osaka.

The IGS students concluded the lesson by saying “sayonara” with a big smile on their faces.
