Poster prize

Year 4 student Delphine Labancz has been awarded a Highly Commended prize in the Moving Forward Together 2018 Harmony Day Poster competition, open to all NSW and ACT primary and high schools.

Delphine is very excited to be heading to Parliament House in September, where she will be presented with her official award.

Delphine’s poster depicted green entwined hands in front of an orange background with leaves and the Harmony Day theme words “Growing together in Harmony”.

Delphine thanked her mother for her helpful tips.

“My family were really happy for me when I heard I got an award, and I can’t wait to go to Parliament House,” she said.

Moving Forward Together is a social initiative by various community groups committed to creating a better understanding among all sectors of the community for a vision of living in harmony.

Delphine is believed to be the first IGS student to be awarded a prize after many years of taking part.
