Linguistics and problem-solving club

Has your child ever wondered how languages came to be, how many there are in the world, or how they evolve?

Does your child like finding patterns and problem-solving? Then this club is for them.

The IGS Linguistics and Problem-solving club will commence in Term 3, run by Newcastle University Linguistics Educator and Researcher Bill Palmer.

Involvement in the club could lead to creating an IGS team to compete in the Australian Computational and Linguistics Olympiad for high school students.

High School students are encouraged to visit the Language Department if they would like to find out more about this club.

The club is one of about 80 special interest clubs offered at IGS for students of all ages.
