IGS to compete in Theatresports Schools Challenge

Good luck to all our students competing in the upcoming Theatresports Schools Challenge.

The first round of the competition will commence on Friday 18 May 2018 from 7 to 9.30pm at St Andrew’s Cathedral School MC Newth Auditorium, Senior College Building at 51 Druitt Street, Sydney, where students from Years 9 and 10 will represent IGS.

Come along and support our talented Drama students, as they compete against schools such as St Andrew’s Cathedral School, Northern Beaches Christian College, St Aloysius’ College, Sydney Secondary College Balmain, Sydney Girls High School, William Clarke College, Fort Street High School, Knox Grammar School and Rosebank College.

Teams of three to five students from each school create improvised scenes live on stage, and are judged and scored by improvisation professionals.

Our senior teams will then compete the following week on Friday 25 May 2018 from 7 to 9.30pm, also at St Andrew’s Cathedral School MC Newth Auditorium.

Senior students will compete against St Andrews Cathedral School, Blue Mountains Grammar, Fort Street High School, Caringbah High School, Saint Ignatius Riverview, Newtown High School of Performing Arts, Danebank School and Ascham School.

Tickets can be purchased at the door, at $10 for adults and $5 for students.
